Help beat cancer and sign up to first Watford Race for Life Twilight
Women from Watford are being encouraged to sign up for a new Cancer Research UK race, which will be take place for the first time in the town later this year.
Race for Life Twilight will be taking place in the Cassiobury Park on Saturday, October 26.
Participants will be walking, running or even dancing their way around 5km route to raise money for research into the killer disease.
Julie Braithwaite, Cancer Research UK’s Watford Event Manager, said: "There are eight weeks to go until our first Race for Life Twilight event in Watford which gives women of all ages, shapes and sizes the chance to both kick start their fitness regime and hit cancer where it hurts.
"This autumn’s Race for Life Twilight is the perfect motivational goal for Watford women who vowed to get fit during this summer but found their good intentions slipping away.
"By making the most of the late summers’ lighter nights and warm evenings to kick start your fitness regime you can give yourself the boost you need to stay the course in to October and even beyond.
"We need mums, grans, daughters, sisters, friends and workmates to join our formidable army and step out this autumn in a shimmering display of light to dazzle cancer in to submission."
