Bovingdon FC launches new website in bid to raise support for team
The launch of a new website will allow residents to support their local football team and generate more funds for the club.
To mark the start of the new football season, Bovingdon FC has announced that villagers can purchase merchandise online for the first time in the club’s history.
Bovingdon FC has joined forces with the national My Local Club campaign, which aims to get more people supporting their local football club.
By joining the campaign, smaller clubs are able to sell their merchandise online to boost funds for general running costs.
Alan Wright, chairman of the club, said: "Bovingdon FC is a community team. We rely on volunteers to help run the club and we hope that more local people can help support the team by coming to our next home game. We are also really pleased to announce this collaboration with the My Local Club campaign so that local people can for the first time buy Bovingdon FC merchandise online."
