Bushey teen, Eyal Booker, to take to the stage at Herts Pride
A Bushey teenager will be taking to the stage at this weekend’s Herts Pride event.
Eyal Booker will be performing with his band, EverYoung, at the community event which celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in the area.
The 19-year-old has been touring with the band, visiting more than 175 schools, in order to perform their debut single, You Got Me.
The Highland Drive resident will be doing a 20-minute set at the Cassiobury Park event, which kicks off at 11am.
Mr Booker said he still gets nervous when stepping onto the stage.
He said: "I don’t think those nerves will ever go away completely. Those nerves are part of it. They give you the buzz before you step on stage and it’s just the best feeling."
Mr Brooker, who has been a member of EverYoung for about 18 months, studied part-time at the Sylvia Young Theatre School, in London.
The band, who have been spending most of the summer recording in the studio, will be continuing their schools tour next month.
