Chipperfield chef is finalist in Chef & Brewer’s Master Chef competition
A Chipperfield chef is celebrating his stuffed duck and prunes dish being chosen for the final of a national cooking competition.
Cameron Wares, who works at the Two Brewers, was picked from more than 60 candidates that entered Chef & Brewer’s Master Chef competition, launched to give employees the opportunity to create a dish that will be served in all 136 Chef & Brewer pubs.
After making it through the first heat and semi-final round, Mr Ware’s dish will now go head to head against three competitors in the final on Wednesday 18 September.
Along with his main course, Cameron will also have to provide a starter and dessert.
The chef said: "I’m shocked to have made it to the final but extremely proud. I’ve worked hard to pull together an accompanying starter and dessert that complements the main meal and I hope the judges enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it."
The finalists will have to impress four judges with their culinary skills, including Operations Director for Chef & Brewer, Kate Wilton.
Ms Wilton said: "We’ve had an absolutely fantastic result from our competition, its inspiring to see that we have such talented teams in our kitchens and it’s great to give them some recognition.
"The finalists have created dishes that not only taste delicious but also fit perfectly with the Chef & Brewer brand and I’m excited to see what they bring to the table in their final efforts to win us over."
