Charity evening at Oxhey Jets for Teenage Cancer Trust raises £700
Hundreds of pounds were raised at a "fantastic" charity event held in South Oxhey in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust on Wednesday.
The fundraiser, held at Oxhey Jets, was organised by Maxine Heard, whose husband, Shawn, and son, Carl, both had their heads shaved for charity.
Mrs Heard, 49, of Glencorse Green, said: "It was an absolutely fantastic night and we’re so grateful to all those who supported us."
The event was inspired by Mrs Heard’s daughter-in-law’s brother, Luke Wiltshire, who was diagnosed with cancer last year.
The event ran between 6.30pm and 11pm, with £700 being raised on the night.
There was a raffle and charity bids, with a performance from local group, Shades of Midnight.
