Crews from Garston and Kings Langley were called to Tibbs Hill Road at around 2.30am following the accident near Love Lane.
Location of the accident
One man was trapped by suspected spinal injuries in the silver Rover and the front end of the vehicle was badly damaged after the head on crash.
Watch commander Chris Merritt, from Garston Fire Station, said: "We cut the side of the car off to give ambulance crews more room to secure him.
"Then he came out on a spinal board through the rear of the vehicle."
