Explore church's architecture on Rickmansworth Decorative and Fine Arts Society's trail
A Rickmansworth society has prepared the first church trail in south west Hertfordshire, which will be launched on Thursday morning.
The trail, designed by the Rickmansworth Decorative and Fine Arts Society (RADFAS), will be launched at 9am at the Start of Year Service for about 60 St Mary’s School pupils.
It has been designed for children aged between eight and 12-years-old and will guide participants round a church looking at the architecture, history and furnishings.
The aim of the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies’ (NADFAS) trail is to allow participants to explore the building whilst having fun. Adults are also welcome to join in.
This is the society’s first church trail and the first in South West Hertfordshire. Its launch is due to be attended by the chairman of Three Rivers District Council, Les Mead, and the NADFAS area chairman, Mike Gadsden.
