Watford Green Canteen host autumn fair to help raise cash for community
The Green Canteen in Garsmouth Way, Watford, held an autumn fair on Saturday.
There was a variety of stalls, children’s activities, tombola, and a raffle with tickets to Harry Potter World and Watford Football Club.
It was also a chance for volunteers to showcase and sell all vegetables and plants which they have grown at the site.
The Green Canteen is a social enterprise run by Herts Mind Network and was set up to support people experiencing mental ill health, local residents and the wider community in order to reduce loneliness, isolation and disengagement from society.
This horticultural project is looking for volunteers to get involved to help grow vegetables and plants, create recycled products, natural crafts and much more.
The produce and what is made is then sold, with all proceeds reinvested back into the project.
The Green Canteen is open from 10am until 4pm Monday to Friday.
Contact Caron Brennan on 07554 428928 or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in volunteering.
