An Abbots Langley school for children with special needs is set to host pupils and staff from five other European schools in the coming weeks.

The visit is part of a two year Comenius project, one of the most popular international educational programmes.

Each country hosts its partners during the project and Breakspeare School, in Gallows Hill Lane, will welcome 33 people to Britain from October 13 to 17.

Watford’s elected mayor Dorothy Thornhill will be attending the opening ceremony on October 14 which will take place at the school.

On Tuesday, October 15, the diverse group will take part in cricket games led by coaches from Abbots Langley Cricket Club, where the students from different countries will learn more about the English game of cricket.
