Walk gives Abbots Langley Primary School pupils village history insight
Primary school pupils took to the streets of Abbots Langley to enjoy a local history walk last month.
A group of children from Abbots Langley Primary School visited a local church, and had a go at sketching the ornate windows in the sunshine.
Other children went on a hunt around the church and village for historical dates, and other younger children went to meet local shopkeepers.
The students were also "amazed" to discover they had been donated a sampler of over 160-years-old.
After years of fundraising, the sampler has been restored and reframed and is now on display in the school.
