'There's more to Bermuda than you think', Rickmansworth event outside Thomas Cook celebrates overseas territory
A special event was organised in Rickmansworth on Saturday to let people know there is more to Bermuda than the mysterious triangle.
The event, which took place outside Thomas Cook, in High Street, between 10am and 4pm, was put on to raise awareness of Britain’s oldest remaining overseas territory.
Representatives from Three Rivers District Council, Classic Collection Holidays and Thomas Cook, were there on the day.
Organiser, Karen Rondan, of Classic Collection Holidays, says she has been running the Bermuda Day programme across the country.
She said: "There’s so much more to do in Bermuda than you think, and lots of people don’t even realise how much history there is that’s connected to us.
"It was such a great day to share all that information with people who initially think that, when they go there, they won’t come back."
Refreshments such as the national beverage, Dark’N’Stormy, which consists of rum, ginger beer and ice were available and flags and maps were given out to visitors.
