Hertsmere residents asked to register their vote
Voters will soon be receiving a voter registration form through their door as part of the annual canvass.
All residents of the borough should receive one and every householder is legally required to complete it and return it as soon as possible.
Jo Bateman, Hertsmere Borough Council’s Electoral Services Officer, said: "It’s important that you register to vote every year.
"If you don’t send back your form this could result in you being removed from the electoral register, meaning you would not be eligible to vote in the forthcoming elections. Not being included on the electoral register can also make it difficult for you to get credit for loans, mortgages or credit cards among other things."
All residents should have received a form by October 14.
