Yellow and Red Lion pub visits 'leisure only' says former Watford FC player Neil Price

Former Watford FC player Neil Price has stressed his appearances at a pub favoured by Hornets fans are purely leisure rather than business based.
The former defender said he was unhappy with the way police portrayed his role at the Yellow and Red Lion pub, which his brother Josh runs, at a licence hearing last week.
On Wednesday last week, politicians at Watford Borough Council ruled the pub should have an effective booze ban for six weeks due to breaching its licence.
Josh Price, who holds the Vicarage Road venue’s licence, says he intends to appeal the ban. However in the hearing, police showed footage of Neil Price in the pub and said he displayed an unhelpful attitude to police officers who went in on match days.
Speaking this week, Mr Price said: “From my point of view I have got other jobs, other fish to fry. The pub is very much my brother’s and if I can help him I will.
“It’s a supporters pub and I love being around the fans and the supporters like being involved with former players.
“But I have got other business ventures I am currently working on. It is very much a leisure part of my life, not a business part of my life.”
