Benefit fraudster, Anthony Jakeman, must repay more than £3,500
A man who failed to tell Watford Borough Council that his partner was in full-time work has been ordered to repay more than £3,500 worth of benefits.
Anthony Jakeman, previously of St Albans Road, was convicted of housing and council tax benefit fraud after pleading guilty on Monday.
He will have to repay more than £3,500, and an additional fine of £1,000, after he failed to declare his partner was living with him and working full-time.
Mr Jakeman submitted an early guilty plea on Monday at Watford Magistrates Court and received a lesser sentence for the offences. He also has to pay £200 costs and a £100 victim surcharge.
