Spire Bushey Hospital surgeon, Ash Mosahebi, to appear on Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies
A plastic surgeon from Bushey will feature on Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies next week.
Spire Bushey Hospital surgeon Ash Mosahebi will be on the programme next Monday, where he treated a 20-year-old female for a melon-sized lump on her lower back.
Valissa, aged 20 from Chester, met Embarrassing Bodies resident GP ‘Dr Dawn’ Harper after visiting the mobile clinic in Glasgow.
Following Dr Dawn’s referral, Valissa visited Spire Bushey Hospital and was given an MRI scan.
The lump, which Valissa had since she was 14-years-old was causing growing discomfort and embarrassment as it grew in size.
Mr Ash Mosahebi removed the lump through Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance (VASER) ultrasound liposuction.
Mr Mosahebi said: "VASER Lipo is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that uses tissue selective ultrasound technology and is very effective in fat removal.
"It targets fat while preserving the structures like blood vessels, nerves and connective tissues, which ensures quick healing. It’s a popular alternative to conventional liposuction for those seeking cosmetic contouring and is less painful than the traditional method."
The episode, which will be on 10pm on Monday, October 28, will show the procedure being performed at the Bushey hospital.
