TV appeal on BBC's The One Show for missing Kings Langley businessman Simon Brookfield
A family’s appeal for a missing Kings Langley businessman hit television screens last week.
The wife and two daughters of 52-year-old Simon Brookfield appeared on Friday’s episode of the BBC1 primetime programme, The One Show, which aired at 7pm.
Mr Brookfield, who is company director of Kings Langley-based Chiltern Demolition, has been missing from his home address in Wigginton, near Tring, since 1.30am on Thursday, October 10 and his family have said they are concerned for his safety and well-being.
Friends and family have set up a Facebook group encouraging the public to get in touch with any information on Mr Brookfield’s disappearance.
He is described as a white man, 6ft tall, of skinny build with brown hair, brown eyes and a bit of stubble. He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a big black coat and possibly a green winter beanie hat.
Detective inspector Justine Jenkins, who is leading the search for missing Simon, said: "We are conducting a thorough investigation into Simon’s disappearance. We are hoping that this latest image will jog people’s memories as we continue our search for Simon.
"It has been just over a week since Simon’s disappearance and we are becoming increasingly concerned for Simon with every hour that passes, I am urging anyone with information on Simon’s whereabouts - to contact us. Simon, if you see this, please let us and your family know you are ok.
"We are continuing to conduct a thorough investigation into Simon’s disappearance and we have extended to Hampshire, where our colleagues there have also been involved in a search for him as the New Forest is a favourite place for Simon to visit. I would urge anyone with any information at all to get in touch with us as a matter of urgency on 101."
