'A real buzz' at Dacorum Showcase event
Business owners from all over Hertfordshire who were interested in meeting local suppliers and business networking visited last week’s Dacorum Showcase.
Representatives from more than 80 companies came together to speak with more than 350 visitors at this year’s showcase.
The event, of which the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce was an exhibitor, was held at Shendish Manor on Friday, October 18.
The Herts Chamber hosted a pre-EXPO networking lunch event at the hotel which saw 70 business directors come together to informally network and listen to guest presenter Simon Shepard of Optima Life.
Hemel Hempstead MP Mike Penning officially opened the showcase and spent time visiting exhibitors at their stands.
Herts Chamber Business Development Manager Pippa Hutchinson, who was helping man the Chamber’s stand, said: "The Showcase was very well attended by well established and new business start-ups alike. We were delighted with the interest people took in joining the Herts Chamber and were pleased that several local companies joined as new members at the Showcase with many more to follow-up."
Yolanda Rugg, Chief Executive of the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce added: "It was a great event to connect local businesses and grow new supply opportunities. The feedback I have received has been very positive, citing a real buzz and evidence that business confidence is very much on the increase."
