Annual Diwali event at Bhaktivedanta Manor Hare Krishna Temple in Aldenham
Aldenham's Hare Krishna Temple will be hosting an evening of celebration for Diwali, the festival of light traditionally celebrated by Hindus, next month.
The annual event, held at Bhaktivedanta Manor Hare Krishna Temple, is normally attended by over 15,000 people from across the UK.
This year's festivities will include music, food stalls, drama performances, culminating in a diva-lighting ceremony and a firework display.
This year's Diwali celebrations are of particular significance, because they will be the final event marking the 40th anniversary of Bhaktivedanta Manor.
Radha Mohan das, from the temple, said: "We will be inviting 40 special guests to light a diva - a small lamp traditionally associated with Diwali - and to write a message of peace to represent the triumph of light over dark, which is the very essence of Diwali."
The event will take place from 4pm to 8pm on Sunday, November 3.
