Mother 'really proud' of children's charity cupcake fundraising in aid of Watford Peace Hospice
When Louise Williamson realised, that as a result of practising cupcake making with her children in preparation for her 40th birthday party, she was left with 50 cupcakes in her kitchen she came up with a fundraising plan.
Louise works for a local accountancy firm, Meades & Co, who support The Peace Hospice as their local charity so she decided to do the same.
Louise’s two youngest children, George and Holly, who both attend Bushey Heath Primary School, took the cupcakes round to their neighbours’ houses and gave them out in exchange for donations to The Peace Hospice - they raised a total of £23.40.
Louise said: "I am really proud that they raised money this way".
Rachel Fowler, Corporate Development Manager at the Hospice said "thank you to Holly and George for this contribution - it is great when children get involved in fundraising."
This photograph shows Holly and George with more cupcakes and their Certificates of Thanks from The Peace Hospice.
If it can be used that would be much appreciated.
