Crews work to remove fallen tree which killed motorist
An eyewitness has described how people tried to help the trapped driver after the tree fell at 6.50am.
Mark Joseph said he has been at the scene for an hour while the emergency services tried to remove the tree.
He said: “A large tree trunk fell right on the roof of the vehicle, crushing it.
“A number of people tried to assist the trapped driver, by trying to lift the roof of the car. A number of people were filming.
“Soon all emergency services attended the scene. Currently the fire service are trying to remove the driver from the wreckage.”
Firefighters are still working to remove a tree, which fell on a car and killed the driver.
