VOLUNTEER knitters have spent more than 2,000 hours knitting blankets, scarves, woolly hats, and baby clothes for elderly care patients and special care babies at Watford General Hospital.
Brenda Rance, Modern Matron, Acute Medical Care Services, said: "We really appreciate all the hard work, and hours the staff from GE Money Home Lending gave in making these beautiful blankets and baby clothes.
"The standard of the knitting was exceptional, especially as some of the staff were first time knitters. I really would like to thank everyone for all their commitment and time spent knitting these beautiful blankets and clothes."
Colin Shave, CEO of GE Money Home Lending, said: "It's great to see colleagues at GE Money Home Lending contributing to the local community in such a way and the generosity of the team.
"At Christmas and throughout the year it is so important to consider those less fortunate than ourselves and I am proud that so many colleagues have donated their time and skills to be able to contribute to our local hospital."
