Pupils from Queens’ School in Bushey took part in the National Rotary Young Chef of the Year competition on Tuesday.
Six food technology students from years 10 and 11 took part in the competition, each preparing a healthy two course meal for two people with a budget of £10.
There was 30 minutes of preparation time, and two hours of cooking before the judging panel sampled the meals.
The two winning students were Andrew Brown and Matthew Clark, both in year 11.
They will go on to compete at the local heats on Saturday, November 23. At this round there will be five other schools including Parmiters, Watford Boys and Girls and Bushey Meads.
