A group of young people organised a family event to raise money for a charity that supports local people in Watford and Three Rivers.
The teenagers, who are part of the National Citizen Service (NCS), put on the funday yesterday in Sainsburys, Watford, and raised funds for Home-Start.
Visitors enjoyed card-writing, face-painting, badge-making, t-shirt designing and song and dance entertainment.
The NCS is a government funded programme for young people to help develop their skills for the future, help them build confidence, and meet new people.
Emma Power, Home-Start Watford and Three Rivers Scheme Manager, said: "The young people raised £167 for Home-Start which is going to be put towards the charity's annual family trip in the summer.
"It has been an honour and an inspiration to work with this group of young people and their team leader and I am aware that they have plans on supporting and volunteering for Home-Start in the future so a great big thank you is in order."
