Elderly man injured in B&Q car park

A man was injured by a car as he walked across the car park outside B&Q this morning.

The incident happened at 10.56am outside the Lower High Street shop. The 70-year-old man’s leg was injured.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were sent to the scene and the man was taken to Watford General Hospital.

This car park has always been a source of passenger/vehicle conflict. It is, like the one in Century Retail Park, badly designed. I'm glad to see that they are finally replacing the drainage channels some 16 years after I was injured there when one collapsed under foot.
