There will be a special service on December 15 to present a new flag for HMS Aldenham, the Type 3 Hunt Class Destroyer that sunk in 1944.
HMS Aldenham sunk in the Adriatic Sea in 1944 and 128 people died. As a Hunt Class vessel, the ship was named after the Aldenham Hunt.
The current Ensign, which was flown on board the ship, is now flown to the right above the window, and will be replaced and preserved in the case with the Book of Remembrance.
The service will take place at the church in Church Lane, Aldenham at 10.30am and will be led by Rev Robert Fletcher and the Archdeacon of St Albans will dedicate the new Ensign.
