Water Lane in Watford reopened today

A main road has reopened in Watford today after being closed for more than four months due to overrunning repairs to a bridge.

Water Lane has been closed since July 22 and had been due to reopen on September 13 but the finish date was pushed back to November as replacement parts for the bridge were delivered late.

The work was then delayed again into December due to bad weather.

It finally reopened at 3pm today.

Any opportunity normally, but I'm not sure if this bridge is anything to do with the local council. That said, would you want your mug plastered all over the W.O. when the accompanying story was one of incompetence and delay after delay?

As they say though, if the cap fits...

I heard it was being closed tonight as Ringway has forgotten to install the potholes

They could get rid of all those speed humps while they're at it.

All these anti-car measures must be costing us drivers a fortune in unnecessary repairs and wear and tear.

Closed for months and they didn't sort out the dip that throws your car to the right when driving out to Bushey Hall Road and the same old potholes on the nearside driving through to Watford.

Just 'what' exactly have they been doing down there since July?

HEADS SHOULD ROLL OVER THIS. Its absolutely scandalous.
Like it says, repairs to a BRIDGE.

But would it really have hurt them to extend the resurfacing a few yards either side?
