A man indecently exposed himself to a dog walker who was left "shaken" in South Oxhey on Monday.

The crime took place between 5.45pm and 5.55pm when a woman was walking her dog along the public footpath that runs adjacent to the car park of the Pavilion Public House, in Green Lane.

As she was walking, she spotted a man in the hedgerow. When she turned he exposed himself to her.

The woman continued walking and used her phone to call for help and the man ran away onto the South Oxhey playing fields.

Hertfordshire Constabulary said the white man has a stocky build, is between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall, bald and aged between 25 and 30-years-old. He was wearing light grey tracksuit bottoms and a black jacket with a light coloured hooded top underneath.

Investigating police constable, Daniel Jones, said: "The victim was left shaken by this incident but thankfully unharmed and we are doing everything we can to identify the offender.

"I would urge him, or anyone who believes they may know who this man is, to come forward and contact me as soon as possible.

"This happened at a time when other people may have been around. If anyone saw anything unusual around this time and in this area, please contact me."
