A former Bushey student is gearing up to have 20 inches of her hair chopped off for charity.
Kerry Byrne, 22, a former pupil at Queens' School, has had 22-inch long hair for many years but has promised to have it all cut off on Saturday, December 21.
Miss Byrne said that if she raises the full £2,500 fundraising aim, she will have her head entirely shaved.
She is raising money for Little Princess Trust, which provides real-hair wigs to children across the UK that have lost their own hair their cancer treatment.
She also plans to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and Miss Byrne said: "They are a charity very close to my heart as they took great care of my nan in her final days."
