A large, articulated lorry crashed into the wall of a house in Pinner Road, Watford, during rush hour on Wednesday morning.

The wall was in front of the home of Mr and Mrs Richard Farley, who recently presented a petition signed by 113 people to Watford Borough Council demanding something be done about the “dangerous” bend.

The lorry mounted the pavement at the exact spot where three Watford councillors squatted for 20 minutes a month ago to observe traffic conditions.

Soon after the first lorry became embedded in her wall, Mrs Farley told the “Observer” another lorry swerved to avoid it and also ended up on the pavement.

“This is always happening,” she said, as she provided cups of hot tea for the drivers.
