A missing note on the town hall organ caused a change of programme in a concert on Monday [December 16, 1974].
Organist for the annual carol concert arranged by Watford and District Schools Music Festival, Bromet Junior School headmaster, Mr Barry Judge, was to have played Burton’s Improvisations on The First Nowell as a solo item.
However, it was discovered that a “D” on the organ was not sounding and Mr Judge decided this would prove less of a problem if he switched to In Dulci Jubilo (Bach).
