More than a thousand pounds was raised in "one of the best" South Oxhey Fun Days ever held at the weekend.
The fun day, which took place in the precinct between 11am and 3pm, was organised by Watford Rural Parish Council.
A total of £1,446 was raised for chosen charity, South Oxhey Amateur Boxing Club.
Organiser, Pauline Olds, said this "worthy cause" was picked because of the work it does with teenagers and children who would be "on the streets with nothing to do" if it weren’t for the club.
She added: "I think that, as there’s not always an awful lot to do, this service is brilliant for teenagers who can often have a lot of energy to use up. This is a wonderful club."
Activities at the fun day included a bungee ride, Santa’s Grotto and a ball pit for children to play in.
There was also face painting and Christmas carol singing.
Ms Olds added: "The day was a great success. It was one of the best we have ever done."
