Bushey & Oxhey FC features in a nationwide football magazine this month after the club now has one of the largest youth set-ups in south west Hertfordshire.
The growth of the club was noticed by Football Focus and will feature in the December issue, with 10,000 copies to be distributed free in the Bushey and Oxhey area.
The magazine got in touch with the club chairman, Darren Linden, to express an interest in doing an article on the growth and development of the club.
The club has grown from one team of six boys five years ago to 18 teams and 220 boys today, in addition to a U6 soccer school.
The club has this season set up links with Watford Academy and have been awarded £840 from Hertsmere Borough Council as part of the Ward Improvement Initiative Scheme, which has allowed the club to purchase four new 9-a-side goals and a set of agility ladders for every team.
