An Abbots Langley artist has created a water colour impression of the late Nelson Mandela.

Roger Chouler, of Harlech Road, has painted the former president of South Africa ahead of a trip to the country in the coming months.

Mr Chouler is originally from South Africa and still has family living there.

He does fine-art portraiture and caricatures in his spare time, and based the watercolour painting on the cover of "Long Walk to Freedom."

A beautiful work to a person who should inspire all of us to never give up on injustice.

It was indeed a Long Walk . emerging at the age of 71 after 27 years in prison.

It used to be about getting things done, now it seems that in today's world it's all about being somebody.
