Children from a Radlett school will be giving a little Christmas cheer to soldiers on the front line.
Fair Field School in Watford Road joined others across Hertfordshire to design pictures based on the theme of "What I like most about Christmas".
The drawings have been sent to Camp Bastion in Afghanistan where it will be hung up in the tents of soldiers, who will then choose winning pictures.
The competition is part of Hertfordshire County Council's commitment to the armed forces.
Regimental Sergeant Major Graham Miller, who received the artwork, said: "I know from experience on the front line how much messages of encouragement like this means to the troops.
"Seeing all the work put into this competition by so many children makes it hard to choose a winner because I know to the service personnel all of these are winners."
