On this day in south west Hertfordshire
Local man who has been going from success to success in the singing world is to have his first record released next month. He is Raymond Walter or Ray Miller, but who has now been christened Eddie Parker.
Born in Watford 21 years ago, he took part in Wilfred Pickles' Have a Go programme at the Watford Gaumont and so impressed Pickles that he invited the youngster to join the touring version of the programme.
