The mother of the Bushey school girl who died after a car accident is still in a critical condition.

Lily-Rose Murphy's mother was taken to hospital after a car mounted the kerb at a bus stop in Stanmore on Wednesday.

Her 11-year-old daughter, who was a pupil at Bushey Academy, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police were called at 12.21pm following reports of a car accident involving two pedestrians.

The 69-year-old driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
