Review of 2013: December

A search for lost Gerry Anderson television programmes was launched after tapes were tracked down to the “Ricky Vaults” archive facility in Rickmansworth.

Watford Observer:

The only problem was, nobody has heard of Ricky Vaults or has seen the footage, including episodes of Dick Spanner and Terrahawks, since 1989.

Jamie  Anderson, the famous puppeteer’s son, said: “It’s really important to me that we find these, as they are the last few bits and pieces where we don’t have the original film.”

Finally December saw the departure of Gianfranco Zola from the head coach position at Watford FC.

The news came after the Golden Boys’ run of nine matches without a win and five consecutive loses at home.

Zola hinted that he was unsure if he could turn the current situation around and then resigned two days later.

The Italian oversaw 29 wins in 66 league matches, giving him a win percentage of 44.94 percent. Only two other Hornets bosses have beaten that record.

Watford Observer:

Zola was quickly replaced by relatively unknown Italian Guiseppe Sannino.
