A man had to be taken to Watford General after a car crashed into an Abbots Langley garden last night.

The driver, in his 20s, was taken to the Vicarage Road hospital with what is believed to be non life-threatening injuries.

Police and paramedics were called at about 9.30pm following reports that a car crashed into a garden in College Road.

A brick wall and fence were damaged in the front garden.

Part of the road had to be closed to allow recovery of the blue Toyota Yaris.
