In his monthly magazine, the Vicar of All Saints’ Church, Croxley Green (the Rev Arthur Suffrin) notes that a Watford resident has written to a daily newspaper complaing of the noise caused by traffic, her neighbours’ cockerels and other nuisances, adding that she has even taken to going to church on Sundays to get away from it. Comments Mr Suffrin: “Watford must be a very noisy place to demand such drastic measures.”
