Firefighters spent about 30 minutes pushing a car to safety today after it became stuck in muddy water in Chorleywood.

A Rickmansworth crew received the emergency call at 2.51pm after the car became stuck in Green Street.

The grey Renault Scenic’s four occupants managed to make it out of the vehicle before firefighters arrived.

Four crew members took about half an hour to push the car clear of water.

The vehicle’s electrics did sustain damage.
