Terry Hogan, YMCA’s centre forward, started the New Year as he finished the old – by scoring five goals. It was the fourth successive game in which he had achieved the feat. Odhams were well and truly trounced. It must have been a great relief to them when Hogan was “rested” in defence for the last 10 minutes. Final score: YMCA 9, Odhams 1.
