Police investigate Carpenders Park car break-ins in Penrose Avenue and By The Wood

A sat nav, glasses and a drill were just some of the items stolen between Monday night and Tuesday morning after two cars were broken into in Carpenders Park.

A black Vauxhall Astra was broken into between 6.45pm on Monday and 8am on Tuesday when it was parked in Penrose Avenue.

The glasses, drill and sat nav were taken from the car, which was locked.

Hertfordshire Constabulary say it is unclear how the cars were broken into.

Police believe the theft was linked to another which took place later between midnight and 2am on Tuesday.

A black Volvo Estate was broken into on By The Wood.

Police say they are looking for two men wearing tracksuit and trainers in connection with the thefts.
