Watford Borough Council has announced plans to freeze its share of Council Tax for the next financial year.
Mayor of Watford, Dorothy Thornhill, is proposing to keep the council’s precept below inflation for the eleventh year.
The average B and D household will pay £249.84 a year to Watford Borough Council, which is roughly £4.80 a week.
Mayor Thornhill said: "We know that people are fighting with the cost of living and this is a small step to help people with their day to day living expenses."
The total council tax for Watford residents will be set at a functions committee meeting on February 27, 2014.
