The Watford Rotary Club raised a record £9,010 for charity during their tour of north Watford last month.
Over three weekends the Christmas float was stationed outside Watford supermarkets, and for eight days the float toured the streets.
Peter Clark at the club said: "In spite of less than favourable weather conditions there were lots of children ready and waiting to see Santa.
"We had a tremendous response this year and were overwhelmed by the generosity of the people of Watford.
"The amount we raised is a new record for the Rotary Club and will be added to the Rotary Club’s charity account for distribution in due course. It will all go to local and UK charities."
