Photogenic Mia Murphy was among the entrants who caught the eye in the Watford Observer’s hugely popular Cute Kids portrait competition.
Mia polled most votes to win the competition’s category for children aged ten to 18 months and she was presented with a larger than life canvas print of her winning picture, as were winners in the three other categories of the competition.
Hundreds of children had their pictures taken at Asda and Tesco Extra before Christmas and all of the pictures were published in the newspaper.
Readers then voted for their favourites – and they voted in their thousands. The competition was a huge success and plans are already in hand to do something similar in the future.
