A man in his late 60s was taken to hospital last night after his car hit a lamppost in Radlett.

The accident happened just after 6pm on the corner of Goodyers Avenue, just off Watling Street.

Firefighters from Garston and Borehamwood were called after reports the male was trapped in his Nissan Almera.
