The Met Office has issued an ice warning for the area covering south west Hertfordshire.

The agency has released the yellow warning for the east of England this afternoon as temperatures are set to drop to below freezing tonight.

Drivers have been warned to expect icy conditions on the roads through tonight and tomorrow morning.

A combination of light winds and clearing skies after late showers will lead to widespread ice on untreated surfaces for all areas with the exception of East Anglia and SE England.

Valid from 1700 onm Monday until 1000 on Tuesday.
