Three Rivers District Council is holding a Landlords’ Forum next week.

The main speaker at the event will be Paul Shamplina, who runs Landlord Action, which is a service for landlords who have problems with their tenants adhering to their tenancy agreement.

Mike Bowles, for the National Landlords Association, is also giving a talk on their services, and the manager of Three Rivers District Council housing benefit department is giving a presentation on the computer system which enables landlords to check their housing benefit accounts.

The district council is also celebrating Easy Let, the council’s social letting agency, which has now been running for one year.

Ann Shaw, leader of the district council, said: "There is a great need for affordable housing. I’m delighted that private landlords have joined the Easy Let scheme. It’s a win-win as the service reduces landlords’ costs and helps the community."
