Detectives are investigating an alleged rape which took place in a Watford park in the early hours of the morning.

An 18-year-old woman left Oceana night club in High Street, and walked with a man to St John’s Road Park, where she alleges he then raped her.

The incident happened between 2am and 4am on Saturday, December 28. Police have released CCTV images in connection.

PC Dale Morris, from the sexual offences investigation team, said: "I wish to speak to the man pictured as he may have information that is vital to our investigation into this crime.

"If you recognise this man, or if you recognise yourself, please get in contact with me immediately.

"We are doing everything we can to support the victim at this difficult time and I would appeal to anyone who may have seen the man or have any other relevant information to contact me."

Anyone with information can telephone PC Morris on 101, citing crime reference number C1/13/5850, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
