The museum was closed completely over the Christmas period and now has a new boiler and three replacement ceilings.

"What is more we have a new boiler, so the building is at a more comfortable temperature, and we have two new exhibitions for you to see."

The museum is currently hosting two exhibitions. Fly the Flag in the Art Gallery is currently taking place, with flags decorating the museum until February 9.

Townscapes will take place from Saturday, January 18 to Sunday, June 22 and will include paintings and drawings of Bushey and Watford, from the late eighteenth to the late twentieth century, show the extent of the changes that have taken place in the communities.

Bushey Museum is in Rudolph Road, off Bushey High Street, and is open Thursdays to Sundays 11am to 4pm.
